Kids Race Sports Development Inc. proud organizer  of The Michigan Youth Cycling Program,  is a non-profit organization, which is tax-exempt under section 501 © (3) of the Internal Revenue code. Contributions or gifts to Kids Race Sports Development Inc may be deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.

Our Goal
Cyclist of the Year Award:

We are currently looking to establish funding for the Cyclist of the Year Award, effective for the 2010 season. If you are interested in funding this program or know of a potential resource, please contact Matt Baroli

The goal of the program will be to award a $500.00 to $5,000.00 academic scholarship to the  Cyclist of the Year. In 2009 we award are first Junior Cyclist of the Year Award to Zoe Reeves from the Priority Health Cycling Team.

Cyclists can be nominated & Sponsor  by any Local Bike Shop, Cyclist  will summit a 100 word essay on why they should be the cyclist of the year, along  with a $25 application fee to:

Dead Line for application is DEC 15th, 2010.

All nominees will be carefully considered by a Michigan Youth Cycling panel and one selected as the Cyclist of the Year!

Cyclist must be 18 years old or under to apply for this scholarship.

Michigan Youth Cycling Honors 2009 Junior Cyclist of the Year


Lansing, Michigan-  Michigan Youth Cycling is pleased to announce its 2009 Junior Cyclist of the Year.
Our presentation is schelduled to take place Sunday, January 31st, 2010 at the annual meeting of the
Michigan Mountain Bike Association; MSU Pavilion.

Each year, Michigan Youth Cycling recognizes a student athlete who has made a commitment to cycling and represented the values and good character, goal setting, and self discipline through friendly competition. This athlete receives a $500.00 academic scholarship and the title of Junior Cyclist of the Year.

This year's Junior Cyclist of the Year award goes to Zoe Reeves from the Priority Health Cycling Team.
Zoe is a 14 year old junior racer who has won multiple State Championships this past season, including:
The Superior Bike Fest State Road Championship, Gas Light Village Criterium, Michigan State Time Trial,
200m and 500m State Track Championship, and Michigan State Cyclocross Championship.

Zoe is an eighth grader at Crossroads Middle School. In addition to cycling, she loves to cook, play French horn
at school, sing and play bells with St. James Lutheran Church, and participate in church youth group activities.
Zoe also volunteers along with her Priority Health teammates to speak at local schools about healthy living and
bicycle safety.

The ceremonial presentation will be led by American cycling legend Frankie Andreu; one of the most popular
and well respected names in professional cycling. He is a former Junior National Champion, two time Olympian
and nine time Tour de France competitor. Andreu has served as a bicycle race commentator since retiring
from professional cycling. He is also the director of the Kenda Pro Cycling Team, gifted writer and motivational
speaker.

Michigan Youth Cycling is on a continual quest to join cycling clubs, teams, retailers, and promoters across
Michigan together to help make a difference in a young person's life by supporting their cycling and
educational dreams.
